This #crystaloftheweek is our bubbly friend, Chalcedony. This stone is a member of the Quartz family, and is associated with the element of water, perfect for cancer season! The crystal invokes energies of centeredness and serenity for the wearer. Chalcedony is both a throat and third eye chakra crystal, and has been used in various cultures throughout history to offer extra energetic support to these aspects of the body. Chalcedony was known as the “speaker’s stone” in ancient civilizations Egypt and Rome. It was believed to encourage clear communication, while enhancing the eloquence and clarity of one speech. Today, the stone is a great companion to wear or hold in therapy, as it helps the user speak from beyond their typical conscious awareness (Robert Simmons). It was also revered in native American tribes for its ability to assist in channeling work when commuting with their ancestors. It is also believed to add a soothing comfort to restless spirits in need of assistance in crossing over (Emmanuelle Guyon).
Have you ever heard of light language?
It can be considered a more secular interpretation of “speaking in tongues”, which is a concept that has been conditioned throughout generations societally to be seen as taboo. It is a form of multidimensional channeling, where a transmission of energy is cultivated through sounds, and breath. It is not about what is being said because it goes beyond comprehension of formalized human language. It is more about the frequencies emitted when given permission to express freely. Chalcedony brings one into attunement to be able to practice light language, if called to do so!
We have our Chalcedony on display for you at the shop. Stop in!
