To Use:
Light the end of the Yerba Santa bundle allowing it to catch fire. Blow the flame out and fan the smoke with a feather or wave back and forth to keep the bundle smoking. Use a shell or fireproof bowl to catch ash as you waft the sacred smoke with the feather, directing it over yourself, someone else or an area to bring the potent power of this sacred plant into your life.
To Extinguish:
When you are done smudging gently tap the end into an abalone shell or fireproof bowl.
